PHYSICAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT
SCI 203 - Field and Laboratory Geology in Washington and Oregon - 4 Lab Science Credits
July 31-August 12, 2010
The U.S. Pacific Northwest is the land of wild contrasts - active volcanoes, temperate rainforests, ancient lava flows, glacier capped peaks and Pacific Ocean beaches. We will walk along the coast, dip our toes in the Pacific Ocean, stand in the blast zone of Mt. St. Helens, roam through a rainforest, stand on ancient lava flows, visit beautiful waterfalls, wonder at the Olympic peaks and, through it all: VOLCANOES!
